Self reflect or introspect can lead us to a life with no regrets and wrongdoing.
Finally, when we cultivate ourselves, we have to reflect on and examine our thoughts and actions all the time.
Only a practitioner who can always self-reflect will know his past mistakes. In the ancient day, Zengzi was a person who would self-reflect on his thoughts and action three times a day.
1. In serving others, had he tried his best and give his utmost.
2. Had he been trusting and believing in others?
3. In learning and acquiring knowledge, had he reviewed and revised the things he learned?
If a practitioner can reflect daily on how he treats others, his tasks, his Tao cultivation and can always review and revise, he will lead a life with no regrets and wrongdoing.
Tao learners can use Zengzi as a model. Tao cultivation is about" Frequently remembering and thinking about our past and accepting responsibility instead of blaming and slandering others" Isn't this something that we often speak about ?
" Accept mistakes as ours, and allow others to claim credit" Are we behaving in this manner?
Six Ancestor Altar Sutra Chapter two: prajna
Wherever and whenever it is, we must constantly bear in mind not to behave foolishly and always act wisely. This is the way of Prajna.
In our daily life activities such as walking, living, sitting or just lying around, use our wisdom any time anywhere to scrutinize our immediate thoughts and actions.
If we can remember not to behave foolishly or in a silly manner and frequently use our wisdom when carrying out our tasks, this is known as Prajna.
省思
Reflection
If we can see clearly and comprehend our temperament or preposition, the world will be stable and peaceful. If we have the heart of a child, we will feel settled, safe, and at ease. Good deeds contain great moral quality.
Cultivating our heart is like refining gold. We cultivate and refine both with sincerity. Sincerity gives rise to stability and calm which in turn allows us to cope with all the changes in the world.
結論
Conclusion
Ji gong Living Buddha's compassion: If we can cultivate what is difficult to do, then it is a True Cultivation. If we can do what is difficult to do, then it is a true achievement.
If we can shoulder what is difficult to do, then it is a true carrying out of responsibility. If we can tolerate what is not easy to do, then it is a true tolerance.
