讀經的方法
A guide on Sutra recitation

先靜坐三分鐘,調順呼吸,收攝心神。
Meditate for 3 minutes ,regulate your breathing, focus on your mind

眼觀經、手指經、口吐經、耳聽經、意在經、鼻孔自然呼吸,不徐不疾。
Eye focus on the sutra, finger points on the sutra, recite the sutra, listen to the sutra, mind concentration, breath naturally and unhurriedly.

經從心中起,清清淨淨。
Sutra begins in your heart, clearly and peacefully

經從眼中過,明明白白。
Sutra passes your eyes, with clarity

經從口中出,字正音圓。
Sutra comes out from your mouth , clear words and sound

經從耳中入,靈靈寂寂。
Sutra enter your ears , clearly

經從竅中落,落地有聲。
Sutra enter your conscience, and clearly heard.


2020/11/07 正精進之2——仙佛慈語:真道一定有真考,但考的是不真心、不誠意的人,你若真修實煉、誠心抱守,一定能關關過,走出一條康莊大道。諸賢一定要堅忍住「道真、理真、天命真」,用心互助,同心互持,每一步都要很認真,每一步都要很老實,每一步都要很堅忍,這才是代天宣化的白陽修子。既然要學道,就要重視自己內心的反應,這關乎「理念」是否正確?理念正確了,必可當下降伏其心。你能常保每個心念的炯炯光明,便可自戒自律,可除惰慢,此乃君子的存心;你的心念常保惺惺清明,便可規矩繩範,可去客慮,此乃君子的持念。如此念念不失本心,隨處用中,毋得一毫放肆馬虎,漸漸可以歸復原本,此乃「精進」之功。踏實之道,不求一蹴可幾,用力之久,自然豁然貫通。以此精進之功,運用於承擔夭職、渡化眾生,便能生發大無畏之勇猛心。能夠承擔天職是天人都讚嘆的,沒什麼好擔憂害怕,害怕做不好、做得不合眾意?要知道,道在繁雜處修,挑起責任,與大眾共修共辦,才看得到真工夫。人因為有了責任而有方向與目標,修辦路上也因此而學會「承擔」,也更看清楚指路標。只要在承瓣途中勿忘天恩師德,時時懷恩感恩、立愿了愿的精進向前;不會做沒關係,做錯了也不用灰心,邊做邊學邊改邊刪,這樣不但成全了自己,還提攜了眾生,這時你才可以說是一個眾生的引航者,是讓你們老師放心的小濟公,讓諸佛稱許的原佛子,讓娘安尉的好兒女。


正精進之 (2)

Positive progressive learning and practice

仙佛慈語:真道一定有真考,但考的是不真 心、不誠意的人,你若真修實煉、誠心抱守,一定能關關過,走出一條康莊大道。
True Tao will have a real test, but it is to test those that are not sincere, if you truly cultivate, then you will definitely pass, and be on the right path.

諸賢一定要堅信「道真、理真、天命真」,用心互助,同心護持,
You must firmly believe that " Tao is real, the principle is real, heavenly destiny is real", and support each other,

每一步都要很認真,每一步都要很老實,每一步都要很堅忍,這才是代天宣化的白陽修子。
Every step must be very serious, every step must be very honest, and every step must be firmly standing; such is the Bai-Yang disciple that spreads the word of God.

既然要學道,就要重視自己內心的反應,這關乎「理念」是否正確? 理念正確了,必可當下降伏其心。
Since we have to learn the Tao, we must pay attention to our inner reaction, whether the "idea" is correct or not. When your mindset is correct, you will be able to be at peace.

你能常保每個心念的炯炯光明,便可自戒自律,可除惰慢,此乃君子的存心;
You can always keep your thoughts positive, be self-disciplined, and eliminate laziness. This is the type of attitude a gentleman should have;

你的心念常保惺惺清明,便可規矩繩範,可去客慮,此乃君子的持念。
Your mind often warns yourself to keep clear, you can abide by the rules, there is no doubt in mind, and this is the gentleman's mind.

如此念念不失本心,隨處用中,毋得一毫放肆馬虎,漸漸可以歸復原本, 此乃「精進」之功。
Such a mind does not lose the original heart, always cares about the rules, and never sloppy. With such an attitude you will gradually return to nature, this is the effort of hard work.

踏實之道,不求一蹴可幾,用力之久,自然豁然貫通。
Cultivate practically and not with an impetuous approach; do not require sudden gains, but progress gradually through effort.

以此精進之功,運用於承擔天 職、渡化眾生,便能生發大無畏之勇猛心。
With such effort applied to propagating Tao on behalf of heaven to save the soul of all beings, you will be able to summon abundant courage.

能夠承擔天職是天人都讚嘆的,沒什麼好擔憂害怕,害怕做不好、做得不合眾意?
To be able to take on the duty of god is praised by heaven and people. There is nothing to worry about. Afraid to do badly, do not do well in line with the will of all people?

要知道,道在繁雜處修,挑起責任, 與大眾共修共辦,才看得到真工夫。
You have to know, Tao is practiced during difficult times, and responsibility is shared together to execute the work.

人因為有了責任而有方向與目標, 修辦路上也因此而學會「承擔」,也更看清楚指路標。
It is through picking up responsibility that people will have a clear goal and direction.

只要在承辦途中勿忘天恩師德, 時時懷恩感恩、立愿了愿的精進向前;
As long as during the process you do not forget to be grateful, and progress with the attitude to fulfilling your vows and setting new ones;

不會做沒關係,做錯了也不用灰心, 一邊做一邊學,一邊修改,這樣不但成全了自己,
It doesn't matter if you don't do it well, since you will learn as you go, and improve as you go. Such you are not just helping yourself but also.

還提攜了眾生,這時你才可以說是一個眾生的引航者,是讓你們老師放心的小濟公,
but also supporting all beings as a guide that leads them in the future, sharing the burden from the Teacher

讓諸佛稱許的原佛子,讓娘安慰的好兒女。
Help people return to their buddha nature, and help God's children.

故事
Story

有兩位比丘從佛陀那裡得到觀想題目後,到森林裡的精舍去禪修。
There were two monks who after receiving a mission from the Buddha decided to go and stay in the forest to meditate peacefully.

其中一位比丘心不在焉,只在火旁邊取暖,只和年輕的沙彌談話而浪費時光。
The first monk was not sincere and lacking interest. He was only interested in sitting by the fire to keep warm and wasting time chatting to the other monk.

另一位虔誠的比丘則善盡比丘職責:初夜時經行, 中夜時休息,後夜則再度禪修。
The second monk was a sincere and devout cultivator. He practiced diligently and according to what was required of a monk. He would recite sutras in the early night, rest in the middle of the night and meditate late at night.

由於他的精進和正念現前,所以很短的時間內就證果。
As a result of his diligence and mindfulness, there was evidence that he was able to achieve the objectives he set himself in a very short time.

安居結束後,兩位比丘去向佛陀頂禮問訊。
After spending their quiet time away, the two monks went to pay their highest respect to the Buddha.

佛陀問他們如何安居?懶惰又心不在焉的比丘說另一位比丘只是躺著休息、睡覺而浪費時間。
The Buddha asked them to tell him how they each went in their quiet and peaceful time away. The lazy monk commented that the other monk was lying around, resting, sleeping, and wasting time.

佛陀問:「那你自己呢?」 他回答自己初夜時,靠在火旁邊取暖,然後就整夜沒睡。
The Buddha asked the lazy monk: " what about yourself?" The monk replied that in the early night he would sit by the fire to keep warm and then stayed awake the rest of the night.

但佛陀太清楚他們兩人安居的情形, 所以就對懶惰的比丘說:「你明明懶惰、心不在焉,而你的同修精進努力、正念現前。
But the Buddha already knew the truth. He told the lazy monk: " you are undoubtedly lazy and insincere whilst your fellow cultivator tries diligently and moved forward with the right attitude.

你就像步履緩慢的馬,而你的同修則是腳程敏捷的馬。」
You are like a slow-moving horse whereas your fellow practitioner is a quick and agile horse.

省思
Reflection

凡事要一門深入,專心一致。
Everything needs to be done thoroughly and with full concentration and devotion.

如:坐禪之人,只管打坐,不起二心;念佛之人,只管念佛,不生二念,
For example, A person who meditates only concentrate on meditation and his mind is not distracted, a person who chants the name of Buddha only focus on chanting the name of the Buddha, and his attention in undivided.

從散亂,到禪定,定生慧,明心見性;由散心到一心,而心開悟解。
From chaos to peaceful meditation develop and establish our wisdom, understand our mind, and know our true selves. When we change a disturbed heart to one that is focussed, we will be awakened and hence able to comprehend everything better.

老實修行,方能具足因緣;精進不退,方可條件成熟。
Practice cultivate sincerely, we can then develop and accumulate good faith; work diligently and without giving up, we will then be able to achieve maturity in our thoughts and deeds and hence our way of life.

結論
Conclusion

一、踏實之道,不求一蹴可幾, 用力之久,自然豁然貫通。
1. Tao is dependable, firmly based, and it does not require you to succeed on the first try. Practice diligently and work hard at it and suddenly you will see the whole thing in a clear light.

二、道在繁雜處修,挑起責任, 與大眾共修共辦,才看得到真工夫。
2. Tao is practiced and cultivated in a diverse environment. When we play our parts, uphold our responsibility, work, and share with others, only then will we see its true ability and value.

心若改變 , 態度就會改變
Changing the mind , the attitude will be altered

態度 改變 , 習慣 就會改變
Changing the attitude , the habits will be altered

習慣改變 , 人生就會改變
Changing habits , the life will be altered
