讀經的方法
A guide on Sutra recitation

先靜坐三分鐘,調順呼吸,收攝心神。
Meditate for 3 minutes ,regulate your breathing, focus on your mind

眼觀經、手指經、口吐經、耳聽經、意在經、鼻孔自然呼吸,不徐不疾。
Eye focus on the sutra, finger points on the sutra, recite the sutra, listen to the sutra, mind concentration, breath naturally and unhurriedly.

經從心中起,清清淨淨。
Sutra begins in your heart, clearly and peacefully

經從眼中過,明明白白。
Sutra passes your eyes, with clarity

經從口中出,字正音圓。
Sutra comes out from your mouth , clear words and sound

經從耳中入,靈靈寂寂。
Sutra enter your ears , clearly

經從竅中落,落地有聲。
Sutra enter your conscience, and clearly heard.


2020/10/21 正思惟之4——如果説慈悲心是根,正思准就是葉;正思惟是根,慈悲心就是葉,兩者相互為因。有正思惟的人,必能明白無常,了然天地諸事的因果,進而珍惜時光,把握人身,絕不敢荒費寸陰寸分。生命雖然有苦,但可以在苦中化苦而轉成樂,因為他知道苦盡終會甘來。每一個人都有自己的業力,六萬年的業力唯以真修真行、真功實善,才能夠償還。明白了這個道理,便是正思惟。每個人修到一個階段,難免會陷落在自己的苦裡面,你如何在苦當中去靜下心,思惟苦諦,然後突破它、放下它?因為修道是你自己心甘情願的,你要走的路,沒人強逼你,所以這是你自己要去突破的境界,自性唯能自度,佛不能度!

藍采和大仙慈語:如果說慈悲心是根,正思惟就是葉;正思惟是根,慈悲心就是葉,兩者相互為因。
If compassion is the root, positive thinking is the leaf. If positive thinking is the root, then compassion is the leaf, both are mutually linked.

有正思惟的人,必能明白無常,了然天地諸事的因果,進而珍惜時光,把握人身,絕不敢荒費寸陰寸分。
A person who understands positivity, then he will surely understand uncertainty. He would be able to grasp the causation of this world, and cherish every moment of time and not put it to waste.

生命雖然有苦,但可以在苦中化苦 而轉成樂,因為他知道苦盡終會甘來。
Although life is hard, it can be turned into joy by resolving difficulties in hardship, for he knows that after the suffering, happiness comes.

每一個人都有自己的業力,六萬年 的業力唯以真修真行,真功實善,才能夠償 還,明白了這個道理,便是正思惟。
Everyone has his own karmic debts. These 60,000 years of karmic debts, only with true practice and good deeds can compensate. Understand this truth and that in itself is positive thinking.

每個人修到一個階段,難免會陷落在自己的苦裡面,你如何在苦當中去靜下 心,思惟苦諦,然後突破它、放下它?
Everyone will reach a point of self- imposed suffering at a stage in their cultivation process. How would you remain calm, resolve, and let go of it?

因為修道是你自己心甘情願的,你要走的路,沒人強逼你,所以這是你自己要去突破的境界,
Because to walk on this path of cultivation is by your own will, you must walk it yourself, no one can force you. You are the only one that can break through this

自性唯能自度,佛不能度!
It is you only that can save yourself, not the Buddha!

生命無常,把握當下
Life is impermanent, grasp the present

有個旅人走在荒野裡,正在思考該往何處去時,不遠處的森林裡突然跑出一頭大象, 朝著他衝過來,
There is a traveler walking in the wilderness, thinking about where to go. An elephant suddenly ran out of the forest not far away and rushed towards him.

旅人拔腿就逃,眼看大象快趕上了,剛好看見一口井,他趕緊攀著一條樹籐往井裡逃生,
The traveler ran away immediately. Seeing that the elephant was catching up with him, he saw a well, so he hurriedly climbed a vine to escape into the well.

正要到達井底時,卻看到四條毒蛇向他吐著蛇信,一時間進退兩難,旅人抓著樹籐吊在半空中。
When he was about to reach the bottom of the well, he saw four poisonous snakes sticking out their tongues at him. Time was in a dilemma, and the traveler grabbed the vine and hung in the air.

此時又來了一黑一白的老鼠,咬著他 攀附的樹籐,正在焦急恐懼之時,井口飛來了五隻小蜜蜂,滴下五滴蜜,
At this time, another black and white mouse came, biting the vine he was climbing on, and when he was anxious and frightened, five small bees flew over the well, dripping five drops of honey,

恰好掉在旅人口裡,一嘗到蜜的甜美, 旅人忘記正處在生死邊緣的險境。
and it happened to fall into his mouth. Once he tasted the sweetness of honey, he forgot the danger of being on the verge of life and death.

比喻:眾生就像旅人,被無常(大象)追趕著而陷落生死深淵(井), 雖已掌握生命(樹籐),但仍有四大假合(毒蛇)盤踞吞噬。
For example, Beings are like travelers, being caught unprepared by uncertainty (elephant) and sinking into the abyss of life and death (well), although life (trees and vines) has been mastered, there are still four elements (venomous snakes) that will engulf us

色身即是四大假合,日夜輪替 (黑白老鼠)啃蝕著生命籐,眾生在吉凶未卜之際,嘗到五欲的甜蜜(五滴蜜)時,
The body is the four elements of earth, water, wind, and fire. Day and night (black and white mice) gnaw the living vine. When sentient beings taste the sweetness of the five desires (five drops of honey,)

卻也渾然忘記身處危險的處境。
when they don't know good or bad, they completely forget that they are in a dangerous situation.

省思
Reflection

樂境生貪,苦境生瞋,不苦不樂境生癡, 若一心想止惡,反無法得安樂。
A state of happiness produces greed, a state of suffering produces aversion, and no suffering or unhappiness produces ignorance. If you just want to stop evil, you can't get peace.

惟有靜心思惟苦諦,明白三界有情諸行生起,把握今朝,精進修辦,心若未發,自能離五取蘊苦,自在放下。
Only meditate on the truth of suffering, understand the three realms of sentimental deeds arise, grasp the present, and diligently practice the Tao. As such even if you're not enlightened, you can still distance yourself from the bad and learn to let go.

結論
Conclusion

六祖慈語:「參禪」即是「悟道」之意。
The Sixth Patriarch:「Chan」means 「enlightenment」.

道者,就是自己之本性, 悟此本性的功夫與過程, 則是「參禪」之意。
Dao is one's own nature, and the time and process of understanding this nature means 「participating in Zen」.

Happiness is with those who have a contented heart.

心若改變 , 態度就會改變
Changing the mind , the attitude will be altered

態度 改變 , 習慣 就會改變
Changing the attitude , the habits will be altered

習慣改變 , 人生就會改變
Changing habits , the life will be altered
