讀經的方法
A guide on Sutra recitation

先靜坐三分鐘,調順呼吸,收攝心神。
Meditate for 3 minutes ,regulate your breathing, focus on your mind

眼觀經、手指經、口吐經、耳聽經、意在經、鼻孔自然呼吸,不徐不疾。
Eye focus on the sutra, finger points on the sutra, recite the sutra, listen to the sutra, mind concentration, breath naturally and unhurriedly.

經從心中起,清清淨淨。
Sutra begins in your heart, clearly and peacefully

經從眼中過,明明白白。
Sutra passes your eyes, with clarity

經從口中出,字正音圓。
Sutra comes out from your mouth , clear words and sound

經從耳中入,靈靈寂寂。
Sutra enter your ears , clearly

經從竅中落,落地有聲。
Sutra enter your conscience, and clearly heard.


2020/08/08 喜樂禪方便門之1——以和諧爲旨歸,在無常世間中得到安住的力量。南海古佛慈語:學真禪、安定意,就是學習身心靈的「和諧」與「統合」,內在的妄動不安消失了,能量就不被分裂,有了「安住」的力量,再加上「善行」的外在功夫,便成就慈悲與正道的內聖外王。試門,有一天你的東西不見了,是不是會急著找回來?而的心往外跑了,卻不得去找?是不是?你們的心念時時刻刻都隨著環境在轉,有時歡喜有時愁,沒有一刻安寧,所以才要修「禪定」來度脫散亂的心。心不隨境 轉,就是禪定;動靜皆能平心靜氣,不被外境所轉,便是禪定。

Happy Zen, Convenient Dharma Gate

以和諧為旨歸, 在無常世間中得到安住的力量。
Harmony as the end goal; to have the strength of calm in a world of impermanence.

南海古佛慈語:學真禪、安定意,就是學習身心靈的 「和諧」與「統合」,內在的妄動不 安消失了,能量就不被分裂,
Learning Zen is to learn about the harmony and unity of body and mind. Energy is not wasted when internal frustration is eased.

有了「安住」的力量,再加上「善行」的外在功夫,便成就慈悲與正道的內 聖外王。
With the power to remain calm, coupled with the external behavior of "good deeds", the power of compassion and righteousness is achieved.

試問,有一天你的東西不見了,是不 是會急著找回來?而你的心往外跑了, 卻不懂得去找?是不是?
One day when your possession is gone, will you be in a hurry to get it back? But when your heart is lost, you are either unaware or don't know how to find it? Isn't it?

你們的心念時時刻刻都隨著環境在轉, 有時歡喜有時愁,沒有一刻安寧,所 以才要修「禪定」來度脫散亂的心。
Your thoughts are always dependent to external environment, sometimes happy and sometimes sad, there is no moment of peace, therefore we must practice "meditation" to change the scattered heart.

心不隨境轉,就是禪定;動靜皆能平心靜氣,不被外境所轉,便是禪定。
When the mood is unaffected by the environment, that's is meditation; moving and quiet can be calm, not to be moved by the outside world, that's is meditation.

從靜坐開始禪定功夫
Start Dhyana with meditation

禪本來就有「定」的意思, 所以也被稱為「禪定」。定者,不散不亂也。
Zen originally means "concentration", So it is also called "Dhyana." The mind which concentrates on will not be scattered or chaotic.

禪與定,本來就有相似的意思。靜坐的目的,不在「坐」,而是 通過禪坐能夠讓我們的心定下來。
Zen and concentration have similar meanings. The purpose of meditation is not to sit, but to settle our minds through meditation.

《法華經》中提到一名阿羅漢, 拿著滿缽的油,要走很長的距離, 要求不能灑落一滴油。
The Lotus Sutra mentioned : An Arahant is required to walk a long distance with a bowl of oil and can not spill a drop of oil.

街道上有雜耍的大象、失火的房子很多干擾因素。
There are many interference factors, like the circus elephants and burning houses on the streets.

但是他做到了心定,只知道持手中滿缽的油而行,沒有揮灑一滴油。
But he made up his mind to concentrate on transporting the pot of oil without spilling a drop of oil.

這個過程是真正的禪定,所以 可見定的功夫並不一定是靜坐。
This process is true meditation, so that concentration is not necessarily meditation.

但是作為初學者,從靜坐入手相對容易很多,靜坐可以磨練人的心智,更容易安定。
However, as a beginner, it is relatively easy to start with meditation. Meditation can hone the mind and make it easier to settle down.

孟子 告子章句上(十一) 孟子曰:「仁,人心也;義,人路也。舍其路而弗由, 放其心而不知求,哀哉!
Mencius said: "Benevolence is the heart of man; Righteousness is the right way for people. It's sad to give up the right path and to lose our true heart without knowing to seek!

人有雞犬放,則知求之;有放心而不知 求。學問之道無他,求其放心而已矣。」
People who lost chickens and dogs know to look for it; We lost our heart, but we don't know how to look for it. There is nothing else in the study of knowledge, just seek the lost heart."

釋義  
Definition

孟子說:「仁,就是人的本心; 義,就是人的正路。捨了正路不走, 失了本心而不知尋求,真是可悲啊!
Mencius said: "Benevolence is the heart of man; Righteousness is the right way for people. It's sad to give up the right path and to lose our true heart without knowing to seek!

人有雞犬走失了,就知道去尋找; 失去了自己的本心,反而不知道去尋找。
People who lost  chickens and dogs know to look for it; We lost our heart, but we don't know to look for it.

研究學問的道理沒有別的,只要去尋求失去的本心就是了。」
There is nothing else in the study of knowledge, just seek the lost heart."

省思 
Reflection

禪與禪定共同修持基礎即止觀。定的最高境界,即身心與境合一, 禪無法用語言來表達,
The cultivating foundation of Zen and concentration is reflection. The highest state of concentration is the unity of mind and body. Zen cannot be expressed in words

是一種內證的體驗,內證的體驗無法用任何方式來展現,只有達到相同 程度的人,才能彼此互相明白。
It is an internal experience and thus cannot be conveyed through external representation. Only the people who achieve the same level of experience can comprehend each other.

結論
Conclusion

一、外離相曰禪,內部亂曰定。 二、禪定即身心靈的和諧與統合。

  1. The external phase means Zen, the internal chaos means concentration
  2. Dhyana is the harmony and unity of body and mind

三、禪定修持的基礎即止觀。

  1. The foundation of meditation practice is reflection.

心若改變 , 態度就會改變
Changing the mind , the attitude will be altered

態度 改變 , 習慣 就會改變
Changing the attitude , the habits will be altered

習慣改變 , 人生就會改變
Changing habits , the life will be altered
