In our daily life, it will be hard to let go of our love and emotions for our family

When you were able to attain fame, wealth, and power as you heart desired, would you still think about Tao?

When everything goes well, we should be grateful for God's blessings that allow our lives to be smooth sailing and without worries.

Obsessive accumulation of wealth shall not be our goal; having just enough of material good is sufficient

We are no longer just ordinary Tao members, but members we will further their studies in Tao and participate in the heavenly works

Shouldn't we spend more time and effort in the heavenly works, and move forward together?

God will not shortchange practicing Tao members; you may not be extremely rich, but certainly won't suffer from hunger or cold

One day, the apprentice asked the old monk: "Old monk, when will I be a Buddha? When can I be worshipped by the people?"

The old monk told him: "You bring two candles. One candle has no wick, the other has. You go and light those candles."

The apprentice answered: "One is easily lit, the other won't light up no matter how hard I try"

The old monk said: "You see, a candle without a wick is not called a candle, it is just an empty shell; it may be called a candle, but it has no effect at all.

Let's look at that lighted candle again, it is so beautiful! Although it has only a small light, nonetheless it is able to illuminate a dark room."

But the little apprentice asked again: "Old monk, what's the purpose of lighting up the candle?"

The old monk said: "In a way, the candle is quite stupid! You see, it illuminates others but melts itself"

However what's melted is the wax of the candle, but the core burns continuously with vigor

省思 Reflection

Mencius said:「When Heaven is going to succeed great responsibility to someone, the person's character must first endure through suffering, his body experience laborous toil,

his body to sustain hunger, and inflict him with poverty." Such person is henceforth approved by heaven

Confucius said:「Rotten wood can't be carved; a wall of dirty earth can't be troweled .」

Heaven will certainly test a person with strong bodhisattva connections if not there's no reason to test consistently

One should always maintain faith in Tao through one's cultivation. When encountering any difficulties or obstacles, the firmness of Tao will never be shaken.

Only in this way can we carry out the test and be determined to work hard, so as to carry it out consistently, and to do things with aspirations.
